Que Sera Sera
Still speak your name all hushed at times Though crossed your name with scarlet lines An ego when what was needed was a shoulder Still burning as you fade away A perfect storm on a perfect day A phantom makes the summer sun seem colder Que sera sera Que sera sera Que sera sera Que sera sera sera Still the mirror cracks from side to side The glimmer child long dead inside The echo in the ear of roaring thunder Still falls the earth around the feet Chilled afterglow of yearning's heat Heartbeat of stone to hide the silence under Que sera sera Que sera sera Que sera sera Que sera sera sera Still air holds tunes of yesterday Clad in rainbowed rags of grey Impatient for the sermon of the never Still overspoken undersaid Embracing solemn scars instead Guardian of the gates of bold forever Que sera sera Que sera sera Que sera sera Que sera sera sera Still spoken name but hushed this time Crossed purpose on the uncrossed line The ego that will always need a shoulder Still burn too bright to fade away A perfect storm imperfect day The phantom of the summer sun grown colder Que sera sera Que sera sera Que sera sera Que sera sera sera Que sera sera Que sera sera Que sera sera Que sera sera Sera

Beautiful tale hinted in tender tail rhyme.
The kind of telling that tugs at the soul—
One senses a sadness, a loss of a loved one, balanced by the philosophical sensibility of Latin understanding — of a spiritual reality in soft design.
Well penned.
Sweet poem! I remember that song I always liked it but my Mom hated it. My Mom is not definitely not a live and let live person and doesn’t believe that “ whatever will be will be” she thinks a person has to “ speak up” and change things!!! Maybe because I grew up with her I love even more “ Que sera sera. “. God knows if things had been always changed the way I wanted them to be in my life I would have probably been much much worse off!!!
